When people asked me what to wear to my wedding I replied "whatever you feel comfortable or most beautiful in". I can not imagine caring so much about other peoples outfits. Like be for real 😂 also this implies that people need to go out and find different dresses for every kind of wedding they get invited too. My goal was for people to not have to spend money to come to my wedding, with the exception of out of town guests getting a hotel. We are not royalty, why do we expect so much from our loved ones??

From the pattern I can sort of pick up on its anything mini or midi length with brights colour and an interesting neckline. Like if you’d wear it to a formal beach party (idk) but google says “Cocktail attire is that sweet spot between your most glamorous gown and your favorite business casual wear. It's about looking polished and poised without feeling overdone. Where I’m from you just wear a dress it doesn’t really matter what, obvs bridesmaids have special dresses picked out for them but everyone else just wears what they want that’s dressed up. Idk I always find it funny how hard Americans go with their weddings, like we just go to church then go get very drunk back at grans house with the extended family. It’s all about just celebrating with the people you love, my mum has made so many wedding dresses by hand for free, there’s just no need to throw a bunch of money at it so you can show off on instagram, just chill and be with the folks you love
