Theory:
So obviously Ashley is the one who Witt has the most personal relationship with. She is on the box label and she jams him up when she is on the line. (Also the car and those colors give me serious “Into Your Arms” vibes so maybe there’s a video/story connection.) Finally, when he has the usual line of girls, a very “Tinder-ish” vibe is there, swipe right, green color, etc. He goes on all these dates either with Ashley in mind but never feels the same connection with these matches as he did with her. He changes his personality with them hence him wearing all the different colors (again maybe another meaning for such specific colors like the drink or clothes). All in all, he’s hurt that Ashley is gone and at the end, she COMES BACK to him and he has to decide whether to take her back.

Edit: There is definitely a connection with “Kindest Regards” as Ashely is mentioned there 3 minutes in, plus the loading screen at the end and his college setting are things still to be perfectly pieces together (I think between the books and car ride he has a relationship with Ashley in some way through school/college)

That moment when Witt swipes left and right is basically how today’s relationships work. A tinder profile doesn’t show much about a person and that’s why ppl end up in such bad relationships. I love when Witt sings bout realistic stuff like this

I'm analyzing the color symbolism in this. There's a lot hidden that I've found. At 0:16 the walls when he's driving are yellow which means optimism and cheerful for the positive side. The negative side of yellow is being a coward, getting criticized and being impatient. Everyone at 1:10 is wearing white. White symbolizes perfection and being complete. He felt complete with Ashley. Even the ceiling is white. Why is the girl in the back only with red hair? Red means anger, tiring, ruthless and fearful and more. Okay so now, at 2:18 the girl is yelling at him and did you guys notice on the table that the candle is white and they are eating oranges? The color orange means pessimistic and also over-bearing. 2:21 everything is white. Even the glass looks to have milk in it. The girl doesn't seem mad and at 2:38 she seems happy and he's talking about "After all of the time we spent" and right after that the lyrics say, "it doesn't feel right in her bed." Sexual desire has to do with red too. There's a red apple on the table which can symbolize love and evil. Look at 3:06. The lights turn blue. That can mean emotionally unstable because he's talking about how fucking hard it is. Exactly at 3:39 the lights turn green super fast and switch. Look closely because it's hard to see because it's so fast. Green means to persevere and many other positive things. He is going on with his life and career.
He talks about buying alcohol on his credit card and green also means devious with money. He did a lot for her and bought a lot for her. He loved her a lot and she destroyed him inside. Throughout the video there are lights that are green and red. ETC. All symbolism.

There's something to do with plants too when he walks into that room with that old lady at 0:50. Oh shit, I noticed something else. At 0:50 there's an hourglass with black sand in it. Sand is a metaphor for the passage of time. It also means destruction. Also, there's branches on both sides of the desk. That can symbolize victory, peace and hope. The lady is also wearing a pearl necklace which can mean wisdom that can be gained through experiences. Even her bracelet are pearls. Holy shit, he put so many symbols in this. This is fucking insane.
