As a seventy two year old male I have always judged people by the direction they run when things go wrong. Some stand still and some run away but the real hero runs too the problem! Thank you and god bless this off duty agent who ran to the problem and made a terrible incident better !!!

19 cops standing around in a hallway VS 1 man who was off duty and answered the call to service. He needs to be awarded the presidential medal of freedom or the medal of honor. Quick someone start a petition! I can't think of nothing more honorable than what he did to help as many kids as possible. He's awesome! ❤️

He’s totally broken.. his eyes don’t lie. I couldn’t imagine being a father and going into that school seeing little bodies everywhere, not knowing if one is yours.
I do not envy his poor sole. Hero is thrown around. A person who survives after what he witnessed is a true hero

I’m from Texas and I’m ashamed to say that the Uvalde school police acted like cowards. They were trained for situations like this. They were more interested is saving themselves more than helping the helpless children.

It's shocking that those with 'a protocol' WERE so close and didn't follow a protocol that could save lives. He did.

As it should be, this officer switched from OFF DUTY to ON DUTY in a HEARTBEAT. It's good to know there are still BRAVE people like him and law enforcement. If this is what the local officers do when they're supposedly on duty you better believe they won't jump to helping anyone when they're off duty. I say the lot of them need to be relieved of their jobs
