This sends a clear message that some people are not people enough, some children are not children enough in their eyes.

This issue is not specific to Google by any means. Recently a Texas university professor was fired over his tweets about Gaza and the report did not even quote the tweets. My guess is he was critical of Netanyahu or the Israel government. In America, you can freely criticize Biden or Trump but if you are public about your opinions against Netanyahu/Israel government, you are highly likely to lose your job. This is the grip of tiny Israel on US foreign policy and public consciousness.

To work at Google you have to be anti Russian and pro Israel.

This employee is an honorable man, he jeopardized his career in order to express his opinion.

Absolutely gross that the employee was fired when it’s the company that’s acting to commit plausible genocide.

It's fun to see all the people who were "outraged" about Google firing an Engineer, who wrote a supposedly sexist email, now celebrating this.
You can speak out against feminism but not against famine, mass-murder, illegal occupation, and ethnic cleansing.

Google cannot stand truth coming out from a young employee. The culture of companies change according to their benefits.

Any employee of any company does not have the right to interrupt or protest inside an official company event. When on company property, and part of conducting company business (including listening to a speaker) you follow company policy and procedure, or you accept disciplinary action, including termination. This is not a free-speech forum, no matter what the company publicly says about it. The employee made a bad choice and paid for it. Similarly, if company management (any company) is engaged in a contract with a customer, you either cooperate with it and do your best work, or you resign and work for someone else. This is not a democracy. You are free to criticize whatever you want in whatever forum you want after you resign. CNBC's interviewee mischaracterizes, purposefully, the comments made about freedom to debate and disagree. What Google means by that is the freedom to debate how to produce or develop a product, what methods or tools are employed, which project management approach is used - NOT whether the company is wrong to engage the client. That debate is reserved ONLY for executives and the Board of Directors and shareholders communicating to the Board, not for an employee to object or debate or obstruct.

BS. Freedom of speech stops the moment it comes to Israel. For Israel you need to bend the knee and kiss the hand. Disgusting.
