Kyle, this song hits me hard. When i lost my husband of 13 and 1/2 years it hit hard. Knowing he was dying from black lung was killing me. Doctors told us he had 6 months at most, and he only lived 2 weeks after them telling us. I said goodbye and i loved him everytime i would go home to the kids from the hospital, not knowing if it would be the last time i saw him or ever heard his voice. I hated leaving, but i had kids at home and i had to continue to take care of them as no one would help me. School routines every morning and off the bus they went and here i am running to the hospital and back home at days end when i knew they would come home. my days were full, my nights were full. But i wouldn't trade those last moments with him for nothing in this world. Nothing. I would give anything for one more day, one more conversation, one more smile, one more laugh. Thank you for this. it means the world to me.
