Is there any time limit for sending repeat lab values?? Eg: Repeat K values post K correction or Hb values post blood transfusion, etc

Does this apply to hemothorax too?
Pt developed hemothorax with mediastinal shift 12hrs after subclavian line f/b hemoperfusion...so subsequent Cvp insertion if at all we want to put, apart from IJV, can we opt the other side?
