This video shows the ingenious hack a woman used to remove the shedding fur from her American Akita.

Cassandra Karlsen, 33, is from Norway and lives with her two American Akita’s, Panda and Argo, who are both seven-years-old.

Shedding season happens around twice a year for dogs with a double coating of fur, such as Huskies, Pomeranians and American Akitas.

Cassandra’s frequently fur covered home urged her to find a better way of managing the shedding coats.

The birds are about to have the softest nests

You should watch Girl with the dogs, Vanessa does this whenever she grooms huskies or other dogs with similar coats - great to watch!

That's a high velocity dryer. They're great for blowing undercoats, especially after a bath with a good desheding or detangling conditioner, though getting as much coat out as you can before the bath is a good plan.

There’s absolutely no way I wouldn’t just sit there and do it by hand 😂

If I was your neighbour I would 100% go into anaphylactic shock 😂

Ok. So, FYI, you need to point the nozzle directly at the fur, and draw really fast small circles all over, and it will fly off there without any issues.

That must feel so great for the dog, compacted undercoat can get very itchy.

I figured the last frame would be the dog standing there bald😮

That scared me at first as I thought it was a rug with a hole in it

Yard full of Husky Glitter (or in this case Akita Glitter).
Also, that wasn't a 'Hoover', it was a Force Dryer. Used by groomers (and dog show people) to relatively quickly dry dogs' coats (and cats). They are a fantastic investment if you have a double-coated or long-coated dog. Absolutely invaluable.

I've watched all the birds scoop up the hair for their nests.

Huskies only shed twice a year. From January till June and then from July till December

Absolutely loved my Akita. Amazing dog. Don’t miss the shed! Wish I had tried this. Worked well on that one!

This is why every dog owner should have a high velocity dryer. I have a standard poodle pup and I'm getting one soon. They dry the fur fast and help get out the undercoat! Poodles don't shed though. My mum has a corgi so I can use it on him during shedding season, I also have another dog that sheds a lot. I can't wait to get mine!
