I decided to visit some friends of mine, lived in Laguna Beach, where there was a Koi farm back in the hills behind Laguna. I took my camera and my watercolors along with the sketchpad, and went to work.  When I get back to my then home in Palm Springs, I started painting the Koi. There was an interior designer who lived near me and saw my work in commissione need to paint six 12 x 12 and paintings and oil of Koi. That was several years ago recently a new friend of mine who had seen pictures of my Koi asked me to paint one for him, after doing that, I remembered how much I enjoy painting the Koi, so here is another painting I’ll probably do some more in the near future .
