Alexa TiVo Control v0.4.0 skill demo

This one is a little more edited than the original as I put in screenshots of the cards that appear in the app and also cut out some of the gaffes where Alexa didn't hear me correctly. I was going to try and include a picture-in-picture showing the skill's console/debugging log, but had technical difficulties with the screencap so I might do a shorter, no-cut, separate video for that. Sorry too for some of the blurry video issues (blame my video camera's poor auto-focus for that).

I might take a look at this for my own personal use however I have the harmony hub which does some of these features but I'd like to add the home button, what to watch now, what am I watching (info button) and directional control to my commands. Speaking of directional controls maybe something you can add for the next version is a way to make Alexa listen for a string of multiple directions check out the anymote app and skill that's where I've seen it done

Jeremy, great work.. I saw this and instantly started setting it up.. I struggled with the ssl portion but got it working. If you like I can send you my server.js. Config for ssl, and that the self signed certs have to go into the sslcert folder... it might help others? . I do have a question, have you ever thought about creating a Google skill that uses a raspberry pi, . All the projects I see out there uses a lambda server... And since I have the PI running a Alexa app server and ssl working, I just don't have the skills to port the lambda Config to the Alexa PI server. Or even if you've seen this Config setup anywhere..
