Recreation. The Savanah biome is basicly the Kanto safari zone with added mons and the Coastal biome is pretty much a mini Alola.

It's definitely a recreation. Especially since most of the fauna there isn't the same as the one of the actual Nature Preserve. Like wild Magikarp and Gyarados, Noctowl and Girafarig.

It's mentioned in B2W2 that thd Nature Preserve is located outside of Unova, so it's definitely just a recreation.

Considering the preserve is supposed to contain rare and endangered pokemon, and the terrarium also houses such pokemon, its probably a reference
