My Mom died over two months ago. I’m going to ask my dad about having this at her celebration of life; it’s being held on what would have been their 42nd anniversary. She had cancer and wasn’t going to be able to come back from it, so we’re happy she’s not in pain anymore. Happy for her, sad for us. Delaying it will allow more people to come and us all reminisce.

This was… more than beautiful. It reminds me that we carry the best parts of her with us, and her legacy and wisdom and support don’t just vanish because she’s past her pain. Beautiful tribute, gorgeous song. ❤️

Those two parts are my absolute favorite parts of the piece. Just the power in the deep piano notes and your voice floats over it like a feather gently falling in the wind. Wonderful! ☺

It's because of James Horner that I have such a love for cinematic score. I practically grew up listening to his beautiful music, from his work with Don Bluth's animation, to the masterpieces of Titanic and Braveheart, even the big commercial films like the Amazing Spider-Man. The emotion conveyed through music is so incredibly powerful, and he was one of the best there ever was.


Once again, such an amazing rendition, Karliene. I might even like your version more than Hayley Westenra's. Mr. Horner would be proud to know he's inspired such wonderful artists.
