The way that Flange slid in unassisted was awesome

I've watched probably a hundred videos replacing this stuff, and this was probably the best and cleanest way I've seen. Excellent work!

Hey, plumber here. That is a beautiful little trick to clean up the grout gap. One thing that I do different is I have seen dozens of toilets where the stainless steel flange is still in good condition but the tapcons have rotted through. Especially the counter sunk head tapcons. Whatever steal they are made out of is of a lower quality than the hex head, but I don't use tapcons at all. I only use stainless steel. I maybe use a pound of screws per year so that extra expense is negligible.

More dads need to have the capability you have!!! Imagine the generations of kids we'd have if dads were like you!!!

It's best not to use an impact for Tapcons because the impacts can break up the concrete just enough for them to not be able to cut proper threads. I used to have them fail regularly, but since I started using my drill instead of impact it's rare for them to not be able to tighten.

One additional tip.. If your tapcon doesn't grab - put a piece of copper wire in the hole.. It's soft enough to conform to the hole/screw but strong enough to give it better gripping power. Works incredibly well

Once you set the toilet nobody will ever see the pride in workmanship ( until the next time it’s pulled ) but you and now the rest of us will always know. Great job. So many toilets I’ve pulled that have 2 or even three wax rings in them.

Growing up dad always said “ if you don’t have time to do a job right where will you find the time to do it again” words to live by.

That dropping of the flange on that air cushion!! Sweet. And love the philosophy of "leave it better than I found it"

I love it when a contractor does the same or better work than he would do at his own home.

So many times, I've had to repair somebody else's halfway fix because it didn't work. Love to see other people do it better than right!

That was sweet, I could have used this for my basement bathroom. I bought like 10 different adapters to find the one to use, it also had an offset flange in concrete. It all worked out ok and was able to return everything to HOme Depot, Thank You HD

I have learned so much from your channel since I discovered you! You’re always up on the latest technology and are very relatable and a true pleasure to watch😊. Thank you, also, for candidly sharing your lessons learned… I thought I was one of the few doing things twice 😢.
