Will this help if I'm only using a REMTRONIX REM-820S Portable Antenna? I don't have a larger outdoor antenna anymore.

Close Call activates when a signal is 10db over the signal floor. This could help lower your floor if you're nearby an fm radio station tower or even miles away. FM transmitters are so strong they can bleed into other frequencies. If a signal was nearby and it was say 9.5db stronger then the rest close cLl would not activate. If this filter lowered the floor by say 0.5db then now that 9.5db would be 10db over so close call would activate. This is a theoretical situation obviously. Close call is the best thing since sliced bread but I wish there were was you could hack the settings for it. To activate it at say 5db stronger, or to be Ble to see the frequesncies it's inspecting, or to mKe it more sensitive. I will try this filter and see if I have any luck in my area. I get 50 plus hits a day on airband can be aircraft right over low on various radar or airfield freqs ie 10 miles away high on Airways, I use a garex aerial cut to various bands, one vhf centre 127 mhz this hangs out of window
