Now, how are they compared to a pot belly fireplace that heats a space without drawing as much of the heated air out, and can you create a heating system with them like an outdoor fireplace boiler to heat the rest of a home ?

I used firerock. The piece measurements were off up to 3/4" of an inch. Wouldn't recommend
