i am so relieved to finally get this video up after literally 2 years of putting it off 🙃 in this video i take you through my entire process of how i take plant photos for instagram from start to finish- i cover everything from lighting, the apps i use, as well as how i've started to edit my dark and moody plant photos. i hope i covered everything you might need to know, but please feel free to leave any questions in the comments!

i mentioned it in the video, but as a gentle reminder, i am in no way shape or form a professional photographer or photo editor!

skillshare course i recommend:
- learn mobile photo editing: apps for beauty and efficiency (dan rubin)

My husband's hobby is wildlife photography so he knows everything about photo processing (and I can always ask him I mean) but I'm still here watching the video :)

This is so good! It takes a lot of work to post a photo.
Skill-share has been helping too. I just haven’t implemented what I’ve learned just yet and also finding your own aesthetic and being consistent is so key !! Fantastic 👍👍👍

I’m new to this channel and I really love all the vids I’ve seen! And I’ve recently been looking up how to best photograph plants, so this is great!!
I do have a question that isn’t related to this video 😅 but do you have a video talking about your pon mix? I’ve been looking into pon and would love to know your exact mix and just more about it

A fun tip I learned recently! If you have an Adobe account and you can have their Lightroom app on your phone, you can make your own preset and have it saved in the app if there are specific things you do every time. I usually apply the preset and tweak depending on what the lighting was like, but it saves a lot of time versus editing it from the beginning every time.

How do you bring down the brightness? In the apps?

Love this! Thank you for taking the time and effort to do this long-awaited for video. Loved all the tips you shared. Qst: can I just use adobe to edit without using VSCO? After all, adobe has the ability to adjust brightness, contrast, highlights etc as well.

You have white walls. Do you think I can make it fairly white looking ?

What an amazing video Charmaine! Now how do I get my grandkids to sit still long enough for me to get a non blurry shot! Lol! 😂

For photoshop express I cant separate background from subject. I think it has to do with the fact that I have an android phone. 😔

Looks like VSCO increased their prices to either $30 or $60 plan a year and are forcing old users to subscribe. :-/ I hate when they do that.
