Yes its been pretty public knowledge for years. Women have suffered toxic shock syndrome caused by tampons and it has been out there in the public domain for quite a while now. I stopped using them over 6 years ago.

If the silicon is dyed you might also want to consider replacing it with one that is not, the pigments often contain heavy metals.

I don't use tampons for many reasons. I have to be careful as well due to my health issues so I always look into how and what they put into our feminine products.

I knew it was weird to use tampons. It doesn’t seem healthy to let something sit up there for hours.

Hi Valeria, you can check lead safe mama. I might be wrong but she tested menstrual cups and they also seem to have heavy metals in them ... Unfortunately.

On some packages we can find information that using is dangerous for health and life. I still have a photo of one Tampax box 😅

I use them occasinally because I dont like them. I knew about the toxic shock. I didnt know about metals in them.
