The Abound SR is a newly refreshed, high-tech short-tail version of Aventon’s classic cargo e-bike.

With its 36V electrical system, 750W hub motor, and torque sensor, the bike felt peppy, highly responsive, and controlled. In short, it’s approachable and super fun to ride!

Aventon loaded this bike with awesome security tech. When paired with the Aventon app, the bike’s smart control unit allows users to lock the kickstand, set up geofencing, monitor the bike’s location via GPS, and more!

$20 a year for GPS tracking is surprisingly cheap. This thing is pretty sweet.

Can the bike be used without maintaining the 4G subscription if you do not care about these location features?

The tech looks great except not being able to remove the battery without using the app. Can't wait for all this technology to migrate to Aventon's other bikes.
Mounting points on the battery for a water bottle is an underrated addition.

Look forward to watching the full review!

That Handle bar stem issue was the reason I did not get the Abound previously. Now that they’ve fixed that issue & threw on more bells & whistles I’ll be grabbing it too.

As a household with a Level 2 and a Ramblas, that app sounds amazing and the security features… 💥

Could you comment on if the new accessories are compatible with the Old Abound? Would be a shame if not

Hm, great tech features. Do we expect these features to come to the rest of the line up? Should I hold off on buying an Aventure 2 (and $1699) and wait for a potential Aventure 3 soon?

I like this style of video, sticking to the build and ride, without the performance tests. We aren't racing these bikes. Build quality, ease of use and maintainence matters way more than stopping 2 millimeters before another bike. Just ride with some sense 😊

The features, if they develop across all of their lineup, will set them apart for years to come.👍🏼 12:23

They really should have engineered this for vertical storage. It's a compact cargo bike, so space is likely an issue. It has the rear frame forbthebcargo rack. Just make them both properly spaced to balance the bike upright. Bonus points if they also did a lockable stem and folding handlebars for allowing a really compact cargo bike.

As soon as you continued with chit chat and didn't start the review of the bike, I turned the video off, and will find someone who will not waste my time spewing commercial junk at me... Later...

Weak power for the price, only 36V and 20MPH top speed! No thanks. Cool frame though.

Do not buy from this brand. They seem to be going out of business and do not stock any parts.

I didn't like the Abound SR after test driving it... to slow to weak, almost feels cheap. If they release a 48v option I will fight to get one but as is... no thanks.
