In my opinion the A119 Dash Cam has better image clarity and focus but dark at night. The A129 is very close at 1080P and includes dual camera support, dual channel WiFi, improved stable mount, newer Novatek NT96663 chipset, Sony 2MP IMX291 Exmor R Starvis Night Vision Sensor, Bluetooth Remote and 7 Parking Mode options, making the A129 a better value.

Really nice comparison, kudos! Is it just me, or the license plates are a bit more readable on the A129 despite its lower resolution?

Thanks for posting this, very helpful!

How much of the video is cropped height wise? I noticed on the last shot, at the stop light, the A129 can't see the lights while the A119 can see most of it. Is this based off its FOV or due to editing it so that they can fit side-by-side in a video?

Thanks a bunch!

I have seen several video of dashcam comparison and always wonder how A119 video manage to minimize glare / halo around lights, notice in all the videos. I have already ordered one and will test that in next week.

Quick question about the A129. With the CPL on and correctly aligned and with factory firmware (Currently v1.5) do you recommend the WDR or just leave the settings at default? WDR of a night adds a element of clarity where it would otherwise be pitch black so I would like to know what you recommend in this situation BC.

Looks VERY close during the day. But at night, A129 stomps a mudhole in the A119. :-D

Why should I install the modified firmware? Bit rate?
