Blonde Highlights Gone Wrong - Major Color Correction 😱 How to Fix Spotty Hair Color

Color Corrections can be scary especially when there are bleed marks everywhere and the hair isn't in the best condition 👎

I wanted to share this video of one of my previous clients who went to a friend to do her hair after I stopped taking clients. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out and I knew I wanted to fix it to help bring her hair back to a natural state and to create a video for you guys in case you ever have a client in a similar situation.

P.s. I never put other stylists down because we have all been there at some point in our career. So my goal of this video isn't to put the other stylist down. In fact, the other stylist knew she had made some mistakes and was actually at the salon with my client while I fixed her hair so she could learn what not to do next time.

I really wanted to create this video to help stylists know what to do if a client walked in with this situation, but please don't ever put another stylist down no matter what your client walks in with 💓

"things like this totally happen in real life with cosmetologists, I've definitely done stuff like this before" RESPECT

I really appreciate how neutral and polite you were about the other stylist's work. It was a very classy approach. It makes me so uncomfortable when I hear other stylists rip apart someone else's work. They forget we all come from somewhere.

I love how sweet you were about the previous stylist making a mistake. Not many people are like that

What a lovely human being to refrain from being condescending or judgemental, but INSTEAD mentoring the other stylist to show her a new skill set to have in her arsenal. AND.. you blessed US the viewers watching this. 💖💕💞👍

I'm fixing a spotty job that was my own fault today, and I am freaking out. She was kind enough to agree to come in and let me fix it, and I don't want to disappoint her. Being a young and relatively new stylist is so scary and stressful.

SO nice to hear someone who is so talented remember that we all start some where and starting out as stylist not forgetting that we all have made mistakes. It really helps make things more realistic to show what and who you can be instead of discouraging younger stylist who are still learning their niche.

You are a breathe of fresh air, I often hear other hairdressers take an opportunity like this to bash the other hairstylist for doing a not so perfect job. You will find that’s the best and more classy approach. Remember people don’t forget where you came from. 🙂

Thankyou for this. My hair is ruined (2 weeks ago) at a salon, and I went back to have it fixed.... it’s still terrible. This video shows to me HOW bad it actually is. As soon as I get a lot of money together I’m going to go to a high end salon and get it fixed properly.

Jaimie Dana... you are a hair goddess!! 😂 I had a woman come in with this exact issue!! I had received the pics of her hair, did an in-person consultation, and then crushed the color correction!! I must have watched this video a dozen times over to see how you did it!! I followed step by step!! Thank you so much girly!!! You just saved me and my client!

Amazing! The best part was how kind and humble you were when talking about the previous stylist! We all make mistakes! You did an amazing job of rectifying the situation! I’m so glad I found you on Instagram! ❤️

I had no idea how this was going to turn out and was so fearful her hair would break in places where hair looked so fragile, kinda burnt, and extremely light already but it turned out beautifully. Knowing what to do in conjunction with quality products made such a huge difference. Excellent work.

I’m crying I went to a salon and I spent so much money to get highlights and I ended up with the exact same result and I’m not gonna give her my hair again never..
And your video really helped thank you so much❤️

I got my license right out of high school, worked at super cuts for about 5 months doing predominantly male haircuts and ended up quitting and never going back to hair. About 5 years later and I’ve decided to jump in again and your videos have inspired me and ignited this new flame. I am soooo excited to try our tour techniques. I want to assist someone but your videos alone have taught me so much already. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us all 🥰

Great video! As a colorist I get very much stuck in my ways and love to watch other people work. Makes you remember the little things that become so unimportant overtime but really make a difference! I love the double foil technique. So simple yet so effective and I will absolutely be using this in the future. Also love to see someone using Goldwell. That's what my salon carries and I don't see it used a lot on social media or in videos!

Wonderful work and I love how you preface the service with saying, 'this happens' and not shaming the stylist who you were correcting.
