Beautiful. I can't help notice that the notes sound slightly out of a-440 tune, like an Oud, and noticed that he has inserted to 1/2 step frets in his modification!

A perfect complimentary match, beautiful presence with joy and ease and command of your instruments. Your hands, beautiful to watch dance, making the drum sing so beautifully with so many colors and sounds. Again pleasing the the eyes and ears. A favorite!

at 2:07 its Chord over melody using quarter steps. I've been searching all of youtube and this is the only performance I could find that does that. if anybody has any performances like this please share. I'm very interested.

Dear Yshai and Itamer, this is one of the best videos I have ever encountered on youtube over more than a decade of watching (10s of songs a day, if not more). I have to ask something I just can't figure out: are you doing fast clusters of 3+3+4 at 2:30, 3:05, 4:11, and 6:33? Thank you so very much!

This is wonderful! I love all the different tones that you get from your drum... it has the diversity of a tonbak but it's a doumbek, right? Are you able to get such a sound through a low tuning and a non-plastic drum head? The guitarist is also excellent; it's neat to see the extra frets that he can use to get quarter tones.

impressive ! Yshai, which doholla you are playing on this concert ?
I'm looking for one, and this one is really nice sound! If you can tell me really helpful.
Thank you.

What kind of percussion instrument is that? It looks like a hybrid between a Darbouka and a Tombek and sounds like a high pitched, tight skinned Djembe. I want one.

I was fascinated by this performance.

Your use of middle eastern percussion instruments is very informative of their diverse sounds.

Congratulations, you are such a talented percussionist. I would like to ask you what kind of cymbals do you use? They just sound so mild and deep...

keep with the excelent work ;)

Wonderful! I am a huge admirer of your compositions Yshai! They are deeply musical and even though your technique is tremendous, you never overuse it. A lesson for many musicians, in all genres.I play bass, tombak and a lot of other percussions and I came across this video a year ago, noticing that your doholla was a wooden one. I never bought a clay one because I am often travelling on my bike with my instruments and clay is way too fragile for that. Where did you get this doholla? By the way, I sincerely think you're a great human, regarding your consistent replies to most of the messages addressed to you. I wish you all the best, from the bottom of my heart!
