I didn't buy Mass Effect 2 until I finished my Master's thesis, but after the first draft was submitted I waited until my security guard shifts were finished for the week and dove in. While I loved the story and characters and combat, part of me also loved the resource collection. This music, the sound of the scanner, and the cool early spring breeze and night noises coming through the window.


After the academic stress of the last few months, it was the peaceful feeling I needed.

I went to replay the ME trilogy last month, since I enjoy experimenting new builds. Right before I was going to search Noveria, I randomly found the Horsehead Nebula, and it blew me away that in ME2 you couldn't go there because the Illusive Man's base was set up there by then. Something about that worldbuilding really strikes a chord in these games, you feel like you're a small part of the galaxy, yet somehow everything revolves around what you do.. it's brilliant! Can't wait for the remaster.

Loved mass effect 2. Its crazy how i would fall asleep playing something i loved. Its not at all like that now a days. I was 16 had my first job and pre-ordered the game and bought evey dlc.
