Today’s episode is about the Voice Recognition module v3.1. In this episode, you will learn how to train your voice Recognition module using different languages, and you will also learn how to delete a voice command and replace It with another voice command. In this tutorial, we will cover all the basics. In my upcoming tutorials, I will be using the same voice recognition module for controlling a wheelchair, Home appliances and so on. Voice recognition module v3.1 can be used with Arduino to control anything you want.
Let’s get started
The components that we will be needing are
1. Voice recognition Module V3.1
2. Arduino
3. Male to female type jumper wires
4. Led’s
5. 330 resistors and finally
6. A breadboard.
These components can be purchased from Amazon, the components purchase links are given in the description.
This is the voice recognition module V3.1 and on this side you can see we have Gnd, vcc, Rxd, and Txd. We will solder these male headers over here so that it can be easily interfaced with Arduino. over here we can connect a mic which can be easily plugged in….now let’s solder the male headers… now this module is ready for the interfacing….
This latest and best speech recognition module and can be used in a lot of projects for controlling wheelchairs, home appliances, robot and so on.

Guys, if you're using this on the Arduino Uno, change the pins tx=2 and rx=3. The comments on the code are wrong, at least for the Uno.

Hi! Thanks for your Tutorial. After train the module (load command), and then use external power supply on arduino. why v3 module led not blinking anymore? Is it possible not to train (twice), or how do you enable auto load (train) the module? thank you ;)

Hey, I was just wondering, did you have to use flux when soldering the pins to the VR module or was it just not necessary?

Hi! Thanks for sharing your project! I'm having trouble loading the comands... I train them, get succesful message and all, but when I try to load them, it shows that "Record already in recognizer", but when I use VR, it shows that none of them are loaded... Can you help me? 😅

When I connect the VCC pin and the GND pin, why doesn't the voice recognition module light turn on?

Does it make a difference if i am using the geeetech voice recognition device? and ive gotten it uploaded....pin 3&2 dont do anything. why not Tx & Rx? last question when i have it plugged into 3&2 i get "check system settings error or timeout" when its plugged into Rx&Tx it does nothing at all.

Hi! Thanks for your Tutorial, works fine for me! Today I tried to train my module with navigation commands directly from google maps (on iPhone). I connected the devices by 3.5 plug but it was difficult to train the commands. After training the detection was poor (i tried 10times and it detected it just 2 times...) did i forget something? Do i have to convert the signal or something. Sometimes connectors im 3.5mm plugs are twisted... but then it would not work at any time but it does sometimes. Thanks in advance! Dan
