Good news! Japanese Government Inaugurates 4 Coast Guard Ships Newly Donated to the Philippines
The BRP Teresa Magbanua and BRP Melchora Aquino patrol vessels are approximately 44 metres long and are equipped with a wide range of modern equipment, such as advanced radar, state-of-the-art communication systems and basic medical facilities. The vessels are also equipped with high manoeuvrability, making them ideal for search and rescue operations, as well as law enforcement at sea.
With a maximum speed of 25 knots and an operating range of up to 1,500 nautical miles, these vessels are capable of patrolling for long periods without the need to return to base frequently. The comfortable accommodation facilities also allow the crew to serve for long periods of time with high efficiency.
