That pass play at the 5:20 mark speaks volumes about Auburn's defense. NM had two receivers in place to catch one pass, and three Auburn defenders were chasing them from behind.

Looking back on it, the defense really didn’t play all that bad. That QB was just making plays. Defense lost contain on him a few times and should have gotten him down when they had the chance which is something to work on for sure, but some of those throws down the field were hard throws to make and the guy made them. Give him credit where it’s due. The game plan worked, keep him in the pocket and don’t let him run for a bunch of yards. Turns out he’s better with his arm than they thought, but we still won by 26. There’s some things to clean up for sure but overall can’t be too upset with how it went
