As a black person i appreciate their honesty. They werent mean at all they were just HONEST!! They could have handled this very differently and just let him find out the hard way but they warned him in a polite way!! Its so sad that this is even necessary tho. I pray my babies never have to encounter someone who dislikes them just because of the color of their skin. We are all the same under the top layer. If only everyone could see that and spread more love and less hate 💔🙏🏾

I lived in Texas as a young native american Indian. I remember the small towns around that didn't allow black people. I ran away when i was 15 and went to Nashville, Tennessee. There were many black folks around they were just like me. I lived there for 35 years, and my sister got sick. She lives in hardin, Texas, so i came back down to help her with the kids until she was better. I decided after a month or two that i was going to move back less hustle and bustle, and it was a lot quieter. My dad lived about 15 miles from where she lived, and he needed some ceiling fans installed. So at my house i had made friends with a young black man and his wife, they were fixin' to have a baby. And he was doing odd jobs for me at my new old house. I told him that if he wanted to go make some money on Saturday that they were both welcome to go because i always cooked a big meal for my dad and his wife on Saturday. My dad had recently moved back from Tennessee. Also, i told him my dad would pay him well to hang the fans. He said, sure that he needed the money, so we set a time to leave and i called my dad and set it all up, and everything was good to go because my dad had met him several times at my house. We were all sitting on my porch and I was telling his wife that I had a sister that lives in Batson her eyes got real big ad he was talking to my husband and everything got quiet i ask what was wrong ya'll look like you seen a ghost. He asked me if that was where my daddy lived. i said no, he lives in Saratoga. Bless their hearts. I thought they were going to pass out, and he said Miss Renee, as much as we would like to, we can't help Mr. Smith on Saturday. I said, "Did i say something to hurt your feelings? He said no ma'am we're not allowed to go there. I was confused. i said, "Can i ask why ?" He said black people are not allowed to go to Batson or Saratoga. i said why he said that the people there were against blacks. That was like someone put a white hot poker thru my heart. I didn't know what to say. i flabbergasted at the thought of my friends. That means so much to me. I was not welcome to a couple of towns full of run-down redneck tobacco spitin nasty looking toothless smelly stinking cross breeds. That hurt me so bad i actually thought all of that crap was over. BLM
