At this rate we'll be stuck in an era of switching between 3-4 different editors just like we switch between Netflix to HBO to Disney+ etc.

I always used to use capcut because it gave me the ability to create professional looking videos without the boundaries of a professional type software (Like Adobe's subscription or Davinci's hard learning curve). I really do recommend it for any beginners looking to make professional looking videos. However, I have recently left Capcut, because it was about a 50% chance that mp4s would turn into mp3s and it would make the editing process like 4x longer.

I'm so glad you covered this. I've been using CapCut since I began content creation, and as someone who was jumping into the whole scene blind, CapCut was perfect. It also is the only thing that is free and runs on my potato laptop.

Capcut was completely free during 2022, then after 2023 they started enrolling a bunch of "pro" features + paywalling some free effects

I've used CapCut for about two years. Typically it is very good. There was one update that broke a lot of things, and I did take a break from it. I came back to it though.

It's a descent software, I don't know why professional editor hate. Just accept it, It's not for professional, but it's a decent one 😊

The rendering process in capcut, was what sold me... Imagine doing Warp Stabilizer in Premiere...all your creative ideas gone because you're waiting for ages 😂

Alight motion is another great mobile video editor. Its capability is awesome for a mobile app while being simple to navigate. If they released a desktop version with a one time purchase I'd buy it in a heartbeat

Capcut is definately good for someone who doesn't wanna do professional editing but needs their videis edited for Fun or social media . It's pretty dope for that usecase

The best thing about capcut is how fast effects apply. And the effects quality and depth is pretty good as well.
