My Acer Nitro 5 won't Power on or Charge helpp!!!!!

Yo wassup i had recently tried to upgrade my ram to 2x16gb my laptop was working fine cuz I was recording myself makeing the ram upgrade and then when I had removed my 8gb of ram and put in the newer 2x16gb ram my acer nitro 5 won't turn on or charge I don't know what I did and youtube videos on this topic isn't helpful and i can't find a fix so any suggestions in the comment section would be very helpful thanks.

From what I have seen from the video and the description, Make sure the RAM module slides completely into the slot and the retaining clips snap into the proper position to hold the RAM in place, if it doesn’t work then RAis M modules you purchased simply aren't compatible with your machine,

Every computer has a physical limit to the total amount of RAM that it can accept as well as the maximum size of each installed RAM module

I FIXED IT!!! I had the same exact issue what I did was unscrew and unplug the main power inside the laptop. Then I blew a lil air on the plug and plugged it back in and re-screwed it back up for me it did have a quick little spark but once I plugged it in I put the case back on and when I plugged in the battery the light lit up and then I went to turn it on and it worked. I hope this helps.

same thing kinda happened to me. check if theres any static buildup on ur board. so google how to discharge the static electricity

If it still isn’t working then this might be why, the 8GB stick could have been a DDR4 5 or 6 type which means that if you got a higher or lower class of ram the mother board might not be compatible with it, meaning the power supply cannot empty excess power to the ram needed (ram stand for random access memory), this basically means that if your battery is at like 1% then no power can be transferred to ram in order for the whole computer to work

Mine does same exact thing. It’s more serious now but if you still have it, look for the interupt hole. On my nitro it’s opposite of the hard drive. VERY small. Literally only a paper clip or staple will fit. Tiny picture of a battery. You can line the cover up once you find it to get at it easier. Press for 30 sec. This worked perfectly for me. Had no power or charging light. Yesterday it shut down. Notice it charges to the 80s then drains in minutes. Did this a few times, Now it’s dead to the world. Only reason I say this is if it fixes your problem, check the hardware / performance monitor for a deeper problem.

I got the same problem as I have same laptop ACER NITRO 5 AN515-54 and for me tightening the screw near the cpu fixed the issue as i opened it for cleaning the fan but one screw was left untight so my guess is that the cpu processor was not communicating properly but after fixing it my laptop started booting 😌 so i hope this will solve your issue.. I have the problem that my laptop got discharged and now its not changing, i did everything like disassembling it, taking the battery out, changing RAM slots, taking hard disk out and cleaning everything but its still nothing opening.

Universal charger fixed mine, i may look for a oem replacement seem one cane with has just worn its self.

Did you unplug the battery when you upgraded the ram? If not probably that’s why because when you shut down the pc windows makes it so that it’s still on

It's probably the motherboard if it's not the charging or battery it's the common part for this of laptop

sorry for responding late but after some reaserch i know what is wrong in fact i just got the same laptop/
1.check if u put in the charger and see if the indicator is there
2.if it doesnt light up its a problem with the motherboard

PCH chipset is gone which is also called the SOUTHBRIDGE, get it replaced

My son has the same computer it’s about 3 years old and the same thing happened with his a few months ago. I took it to a pc repair place and Replacing the fan helped for about a month but it shut off again. But now the charging light stays on it just won’t turn on. The PC place couldn’t fix it so they ended up refunding the money they charged me. Might Replace fans? Same thing happened to my sons computer. But after the pc shop replaced them it worked for a month and then shut off again. Light for battery comes on now but it won’t turn on. The pc repair shop ended up refunding me the money because they couldn’t fix it. Before replacing the fans the charging light wouldn’t come on.

Thank you guys, i was having the same issue today disconnected everything battery and plug, didnt work but finally blew air in my charging plug and it started working
