Lyrics:
I travel with a song that no one wants to hear
I keep it in my heart while my body disappears
And the people shuffle by
Big penguins in a pen
Squeaking in a language I can't comprehend

I travel with a song that no one wants to bear
I keep it in my hear while my limbs start to tear
And the ice is melting I am slipping
Water's waiting deep and freezing
I can't swim

I travel with a song that no one wants to know
I keep it in my heart while my mind starts to go
And the air is awful bright
It gets too warm at night
A relief to feel the heat
But it melts the ice

That holds me in between a lonely life and bitter death
Above the sea in slavery or underneath
I'm dead but free I'm dead but free!

I keep writing metaphors and pretty words
Cause I can't speak
Or think c-clearly
And I'm scared to admit
Something's wrong with me

Look me in the eye and never look away
I'll memorize your colors and forget your pretty face
With your eyes I'll paint the leaves
Your skin the chunks of meat
That the lion chews and tears away

Look me in the eyes and never look aways
I'll memorize your colors but forget what you say
Drawing zebras with your teeth
They gallop frantically
Their manes blowing bursting glistening oh!

They're trying to survive these brutal times
What is the value of your life
Now open wide and take a bite
It's much nicer darker inside

I keep writing metaphors and pretty words
Cause I can't speak
Or think c-clearly
And I'm scared to admit
Something's wrong with me

I keep packing in my verse with stiff cliches so I sound smart
Or feel well hidden in a veil of bullshit caked around my heart.

If I don't want to hear the song, why did I click on it?

Oh, I guess I just got reverse psychologized. Touché.

Lyrics are the perfect amount of unique! Not quite weird, but beautifully strange!

You have to release an album of these live performances if you haven't already. This is the most inspired I have been by music in a long time

This was such a great session! This album too - I'd love to see a live version of 'Aging' at some point. The live recordings of 'Goddess' and 'The Accident' were already so good.

Tight!

Edit: I’ve become addicted to this track. Didn’t even need the mere exposure effect; It’s just too good.

the way the violinist plays so intently, practically hugging his violin, really introduces a sense of intimacy in just watching this video. great work ben!
