Outside of getting married or having a kid there are not many things better than opening up and running a brand new Lionel Legacy steam locomotive! I know I'm probably exaggerating a little bit! lol Anyways, sweet locomotive and Congrats! And yes that steam cylinder effect is awesome! Thanks bud!

The whistle sounds too small for this engine. It should have the same as the M1a. Other than that, great model!

Nice engine, but I think Lionel put the wrong whistle in. That is the cc2 & h10 style whistle. Personally I think it should have s deeper whistle as the last run of these did.

The whistle on that Engine is the one on the H10

The whistle should be a PRR 3 chime not a banshee just a small criticism with the sounds.

Looks like the crew had better learn how to POLE-VAULT in order to get to the tender, or exit the locomotive...! The extreme GAP between the engine and tender is ridiculous...🤣

Why does it have a PRR Banshee?! J1s had amazing PRR 3 chimes, never a banshee. Come on Lionel, get it together.

I have a solution to the whistle issue. Just remove the sound card. And see if you can replace it with another one. Maybe the M1 sound card. They’re easy to get. Just search for it on the Lionel parts website. Or better yet, just run it without sounds.

Since the electronics for the sound system are in the tender, it should be easy to open and take out.

I just received mine I'm also very disappointed with the whistle . This is my first Lionel engine Not happy.Its all about sounds .

OMG they killed it. I bought both cab numbers and now I have to send them back... what was Lionel thinking!
