Jack frost ain't just nipping at our noses where we live, he's basically biting them off! Ouch! So we thought we'd learn a little about what "cold" even is, and you may not be too surprised to hear that the answer is way, way more complicated than you'd think. Bundle up and take a listen!

Once when I was a child (10-12) I saw a 'sippy cup' and flashed back to a vision of myself drinking from a large one, and a sweet taste that I've never found since. Now in my 60s I'm sure I retain only a memory of that memory, but it is still strong. I suppose it was just fruit juice or Kool-Aid but my then-new taste buds were dazzled by the flavor.

Suggestion: instead of the opponent getting to steal when you answer wrong, you could let the opponent steal when you pass.

This would add risk to passing, making for a more meaningful choice between passing and not passing, while at the same time removing the double punishment from getting an answer wrong (losing points and giving away a stealing opportunity)

“When the nights are freezing but the days are still warm” I feel like this is the beginning of a lost verse from the song “Stand By Me” Ben E. King.

The fact that Hank asked this question before and Hank and Ceri said the exact same food is weirding me out! At first I thought it was a rerun!

I’m fairly certain I’ve watched every episode of SciShow Tangents more than once. They’re the perfect thing for me to listen to as I’m falling asleep. You’re welcome Sam.

My grandma made potatoes with green beans. She never showed me how to make it. I've tried various recipes but none have come close to her version. I miss her so much.

Hanks analogy of people dancing is exactly how I've thought of pressure and related atomic qualities since I first took physics 25 years ago.

I love the moshing at the concert analogy. Great way to get the picture in someone's head. 👍

I once read that without heat, we wouldn't recognize time, because nothing would change... (From the book Seven Brief Lessons on Physics) it was fascinating.

Trader Joes used to have a frozen carrot cake with creme cheese frosting, about $3 for a pan with four, and it was SO FREAKIN' GOOD. To this day the best carrot cake i have EVER had :D

We vacationed in Mexico or possibly Central America when I was 4 and I had fried baby swordfish. The "swords" were the handles. I refused to eat any fish except that for years - so I didn't eat fish for years.

I FOUND THE RESTAURANT/GROCERY STORE! I'm 99% sure you were thinking of this, which I found in a 1996 article in the Orlando Sentinel: "Ciotti's Italian Specialties. 1803 E. Winter Park Road, Orlando; Combination delicatessen and grocery sells fresh pasta, bread and Italian sausage, in addition to freshly grated cheeses, frozen prepared entrees and canned goods." It was right on the corner of Winter Park and Corrine. Can't seem to find any photos. I've been asking around and people definitely remember a small grocery store in the same area as Junior's Diner is now, some people think you might be referring to O'Stromboli but I don't think they were ever a grocery store.

I've tried posting this a few times, I'm going to try to remove the phone number and see if that works (otherwise I'll just email this to you all)

I love your dynamics, your laughter and the things I learn.
I discovered this channel not too long ago and now I’m pretty much binge watching.

I love listening to this channel as a Montanan and finding little Easter eggs like Paul Bunyan's.

As an Andes-adjacent person (chilean) I can tell you chuño here is like sick person food, because it's gluten free (less gas) and very easy to digest. I also personally find it to be quite bland, but lighter than flour. Chuño cookies are also typical old people snack.

I know there are some tasty dishes made with it, but none of them are typical where I'm from. Besides that, I'm a passionate potato fan, and proud of being part of the culture that developed potato farming with lots and lots of potato kinds.

Potatoes are the best. Elasticasia la Reina de las Papas out.

My paternal grandmother baked the best homemade dinner rolls. More than the taste, I miss how her kitchen smelled when she baked them. 50 years later I can still remember the scent.
