This was the most beautiful aria I heard in 2022 and a brilliant opera production. The singing here, the composition, the setting (Cliofide cannot talk to Poro directly...), their hands touching each other as if in secret, the acting, that brilliant exit... Thank You for posting this beautiful aria from the Bayreuth Baroque festival opera ALESSANDRO NELL’INDIE from Leonardo Vinci. This production is a remarkable achievement with only top singers, orchestra and dancers. This particularly aria touched my heart in so many ways, The singing technique is breathtaking. The voice and acting is beautiful. There is a point in this area 3:46 when I felt something magical happened and from that point on I was captivated and touched.

I saw the movie "Farinelli" again last night, and now I run across this absolutely unbelievable performance. This, I imagine, is what Farinelli might have sounded like. I cannot imagine anyone sing more beautiful and with more feeling than Mr. de Sá. It literally took my breath away and brought me to tears. I just wish there were a Blu-ray DVD of the entire performance.
Move over, female sopranos, for this music you are out of a job.

Lovely to hear this beautiful music sung and played according to the period in which it was written -we owe so much to those who have revived the singing, playing, costumes and sets - I loath Handel in beach towels or military uniforms from World War 1 and 2 you have brought back the historical wonder and appreciation for this wonderful music BRAVO
