I was considering initiating a new venture on August 8th and was browsing the astro-spiritual community on YOutube for insights regarding the Lion's Gate portal this year. I encountered a post from a source I typically find trustworthy and relevant. This particular perspective prompted me to reconsider my approach and the significance of this day. The post stated:

"Every year there are posts about the Lion's Gate on 8/8, and every year my resentment grows.

Nothing about the 8th date is supportive, and the actual heliacal rising of the star Sirius isn’t until August 12th this year.

Additionally, the conjunction of our Sun to Sirius occurred last month. This is just modern spirituality pushing unremarkable manifestation techniques onto people who will blindly follow any bit of hope.

I wish people did their research instead of literally worshipping a date that holds little astrological and spiritual significance this year :/"

Great video, A month ago, my five-year relationship came to an end. I really can't stop thinking about the love of my life, who made the decision to leave me. I think the whole point is getting these synchronistic dates to become something celebrated to raise the vibration and overall energy each time. It's like how holidays were created and now the energy is way different on those days. I think it can be helpful if you at least take the time to use these days to set intentions. I agree we should take every day to do basic practices though.

I love this. I used to pay attention to portal dates and recently was taught exactly what you say here. You can create your own portal anytime. I think 8-8 portal concept as a scheduled time to focus is fine if you like that but I don't think it holds more power than any other day.
