I don’t mean to be unnecessarily critical, but why is it that in all of these teen flicks the protagonists always get accepted to the top universities when we hardly ever see them even mention their commitment to academics or extracurriculars? Not only do they make it look easy when it’s really not, but it also conflicts with their character. I’m not saying that they couldn’t get into these universities, but the fact that they exclusively go to top universities just because of Hollywood magic suddenly makes them less realistic and relatable.

They should make these movies more realistic for teens, like that not every high school couple lasts till college then marriage. I feel that at that age I was very impressionable and really thought love was like in the movies. Which is obvious not it’s a lot more different.
