Just to be clear, the Soprano and tenor instruments are C instruments ie when all holes are covered the note produced is C. The tenor sounds an octave lower than the soprano. Alto and bass are both F instruments, so covering all holes gives an F, and you are playing a scale of F major. Bass is an octave lower than alto. Easy to check - play the lowest note on each instrument one after the other. They're not all the same!

I have seen a number of videos explaining recorders and people tend to go off saying too much that it makes it all difficult to follow. This video is straight to the point and makes it all easier to understand. Therefore, this video was awesome learning material and I thank you a lot for creating this video. 👍👍👍

A very professional and informative video. I would have liked to see more information on the differences and difficulties between German and baroque recorders.

Thank you for the different samplings. My wife is trying to decide between the soprano and alto versions. This has been very helpful. MikeinMinnesota

I love Yamaha instruments. I think they get a lovely, effortless sound. Even their 10$ translucent colorful soprano takes a good sound!

The name of the barroque sequence is Fugue in G minor BWV 578

In case you were wondering that baroque sequence is based off of Bach’s little fugue in g Minor

Merci Florentin pour votre démonstration instructive !

Thanks for this video! It helped me identify the tenor operates on the same concert pitch c-scale as a regular soprano recorder. I might get a tenor for a yearly repeating medieval gig. I'm primarily a violin player but can rip out a decent tune on soprano recorder which I learned as a kid! Cheers!

I just bought an alto today. It has a lovely resonate sound. Almost got a sopranino recorder but it'll have to wait until next month!

Gotta say, those mistakes you made are actually quite important, since it gives us more info on how you could expect your fingers to adapt to the bigger gaps, which is a major part of the buy. So thanks, very informative
