Ohhh i miss mamak so much... As a Malay Malaysian living in overseas and working among Indians (no, not Malaysian Indians but, Indian Indians.. uhh.. u get what i mean..), they often ask me what is a mamak stall.. My easiest way to explain is: Its an Indian Muslim food chain, spread everywhere across the nation, which sells great Indian foods that doesnt even exist in India.. Do you guys have Sardines Paratha? Milo Paratha? Banana Paratha? What? Never heard of it? Welcome to Malaysia...

I have travelled the world for food and For me even the Michelin star restaurants of France and fancy Napa Valley bistros at home don't compare to the pleasure of eating at a Malaysian Mamak at 1:00 a.m.
The best meal I have ever had was banana leaf rice at a restaurant called Nirwana Maju in Bangsar.

I love all kinds of food, but especially roti canai, murtabak and Mamak Mee Goreng. Watching this video is making me both hungry and homesick (I now live in Melbourne, Australia). I've never had roti tissue, so that's something to look forward to. Thanks so much for the mouthwatering videos!

I miss Mamak restaurant so much now that I'm studying abroad T.T The best thing about mamak restaurant is that you can order anything you want! We can also ask them to cook according to our preferences hahaha.

Mamak food was the first Malaysian food that we tried Here in Australia. The Roti tissue was always twice the size when we went to Malaysian and don't forget about the banana in roti and my daughters favourite was the milo filled rotis :)
