I was in the crowd! The main thing I remember from that match is that Sharapova didn’t actually play that badly - it was just that Williams was on a totally different level. Every shot seemed to be within a millimetre of the lines. Honestly a great privilege to be there and see one of the all time greatest at the very top of her game.

The amazing thing is that Sharapova didn't even play bad...she just got served out and never had a chance to get into the point. Sharapova's record against Serena is evidence of Serena's greatness. That serve was on.

And it's not even like Serena had to run a lot around the court. She just took control of the match! Mainly with her focus, serve, placement, and intensity. Everything else just fell into place. It wasn't even about her movement and that's why I know she still has one more grand slam in her. She just needs to find that focus and dictate the match like she did here.
