First Time Trying Glühwein - in Germany! (Düsseldorf, Köln and Christmas Markets) | Germany Vlog 02

We jammed a LOT into our three days around the Westphalia area: Düsseldorf, Köln (Cologne) and Essen Christmas markets! There isn't much footage from our trip here - we wanted to focus on spending our time with family instead of trying to vlog the whole trip.

For the uninitiated (and taken straight from Wikipedia), Glühwein or Mulled wine, also known as spiced wine, is a beverage usually made with red wine along with various mulling spices and sometimes raisins. It is served hot or warm and is alcoholic, although there are non-alcoholic versions of it. It is a traditional drink during winter, especially around Christmas.

We didn't film too much around Düsseldorf and Köln - Alex's Aunty lives out here and we wanted to focus on spending our time with them rather than being behind (or in front of) the camera the whole time! We did manage to capture some bits though so we hope you enjoy those 😊
