We very much enjoyed our trips with MSC. Beautiful ships, kind staff, good food and entertainment, and the price cant be beat. Youre absolutely right that people with the tighest purse strings tend to complain about the dumbest stuff. 4 days of not cooking or cleaning? Worth it.

$198 as a solo traveler for 4 nights... the value of the food, entertainment, and travel answers that question. I had a similar first MSC experience on the Seascape... great service from the staff, nice looking ship, and the food was good. Absolutely love Ocean Cay... Bimini beach is beautiful and a great place to snorkel. I initially booked an inside guarantee and was upgraded to a balcony a week before leaving. I am looking forward to the inaugural on the America!

I appreciate the details of your experience and the fact that you got upgraded to a balcony cabin was amazing! I'm sorry that you had that scary experience at 5:00 a.m. I don't think I would feel safe if I were ever to travel solo to stay in that same cabin, but that's just me. My girlfriend and I went on MSC fantasia for a weeklong cruise in the Mediterranean for just $400pp. It was fantastic and we had so much fun. They upgraded us to a balcony and the service was truly fantastic.
