How To Hardflip Late Backside 180 | SKATEBOARDING

Показать описание
Today we’ll instruct you in the fine art of the Hardflip Backside 180. As you can infer, this trick is for a very experienced skater, and it has earlier components you have to master first.
Here’s how to set up for it.
1. That back foot has to be absolutely back on the tail. Your toes will be all the way up on the tail ridge, with your heel off the board.
2. Your back foot will be right in the center. If you like doing flip tricks with the front foot angled forward, that’ll work.
3. Get to a roll of ten feet or so, then get into a nice low crouch. At this point, dig in with your toe, with your toe pretty much gripping the underside of the board, with your heel up and not making contact with the board.
4. Give a serious pop, and then scrape with the front foot. As is often the case, you’re not going to scrape forward too far, but instead, flick off the heel side of the board.
5. The board is already atabout a 30-degree angle into its spin as you hit the flick. The board now does its spin and should be chillin’two feet off the ground.
6. Keep your feet up and out of the way until it’s time to catch with your back foot. Your front foot hits a quarter second later.
7. Now, an important note is that the board is still in its spin and is getting to a 90-degree angle as it’s hitting the ground.
8. Here’s the later part. Whip your shoulders and also power the board a bit with your knees and upper legs, pivoting the board back so it's perfectly straight. That gives a sharp look to the end of the trick. So, you’re not doing a varial, just turning with the board at the end of the trick and ending up 180.
If you go into this trick understanding the hardflip, it shouldn’t be too hard.
Thanks for skating!
