The only reason I played The Forest and Sons of The Forest is because I love building a safe place in a world full of dangers.
My peak sweet spot is when I manage to build a very safe house and I just hang out there, cooking, building small stuff, chilling. That's where my real life anxiety and depression find true relief.
Can't wait to do the same in real life, I'm working on it so hard

If you still are having problems with the melee remember to use the katana and the parry option

so I've watched a few of your sons of the forest vids and now subscribed idk if it's the way you speak or the videos being so well done. but you speak so calmly it's relaxing 😂 great vids

The trick to melee is circling around them while attacking with a fast weapon. Katana is the best in the game and once you get used to it you rarely lose armor. (machete works too it just takes more hits) If you really like the slow hard hitting weapons (I know you do) then you just have to get the timing down, but is still doable while circling around them. I have repeated this tactic in comments a few times since your 1st season on here when "skinnies" were driving you crazy, not to annoy, but because I want you to enjoy the combat and game more...

I've used rivers as a way to transport logs in a lot of my bases. You can use stragglers and weird logs (3/4s or 1/4s) to make a dam and have them flow down. I haven't really used it much since we got the log sled because as you say they can jam up on occasion and require manual agitation to keep flowing, but it's a cool method of transport.

Farket, in case you didnt know if you place the stick down and can look towards the top and place a 2nd stick, then afterwards place the 3 rocks to stabilize the structure, then if you so choose you can place custom sticks (like how you attack limbs) at custom angles. Hope this helps.

12:15 fun fact there are 2 usual differences/aspects of a food that dictate it as either soup or stew. stews more often than not use some sort of roux to thicken the liquids and you never call a substance that has a thickener in it a "soup". soups usually have the liquid mixture as its main part of the dish, not meats or anything chunky in it. so a rule of thumb can be, its a stew if its thick and has little actual liquidyness and a soup if its almost mainly 1-3 liquid ingredients

Ive found that my favorite way to fight melee is too charge up an attack and run in and rush them while evading, always staying moving
