Synopsis -
Rajini Murugan, an unemployed youth in Madurai, spends his days with his friend Thotathree and caring for his grandfather, Ayyankalai, a respected landowner. Ayyankalai wants to divide his property among his family, but only Rajini Murugan and his father remain in Madurai, as the rest of the family lives abroad. Encouraged by an astrologer's prediction, Rajini Murugan pursues his childhood love, Karthika, despite her father's disapproval. He opens a tea stall near her house, which is destroyed, prompting him to start a real estate business. A local gangster, Mookan, tries to extort money from him but fails. Ayyankalai fakes his death to reunite the family and settle the property, leading to a panchayat decision in Rajini Murugan's favor. In the end, Karthika accepts Rajini Murugan's love, and the family decides to convert the property into a hotel for him.
