Marvel “Daredevil' – Brad Eason- July 7th, 2019

Heroes educate us about right and wrong. Most fairytales and children’s stories serve this didactic purpose, showing kids the kinds of behaviors that are needed to succeed in life, to better society, and to overcome villainy. It is during our youth that we most need good, healthy adult role models who demonstrate exemplary behavior. But adults need heroic models as well. Heroes reveal to us the kinds of qualities in others that we need to be in communion with. Thankfully the Bible is filled with stories of people who did Marvelous acts of heroism. The best part of these heroes’ stories however is that they were regular people just like us! They teach us that no matter how broken, screwed up or unheroic we think we are, our God loves to use ordinary people who put their faith in Him to do marvelous things!
