Kamala Harris trying to ‘distance herself’ from Joe Biden

Republican Strategist Amanda Makki says US Vice President Kamala Harris is trying to “distance herself” from President Joe Biden.

“If people aren’t able to afford the important things, for example buying a home, selling a home … these are the things people care about … when you’re struggling, you’re going to blame the party who is in power,” Ms Makki told Sky News Australia.

“Kamala Harris is trying to distance herself from Joe Biden – it’s not going to work, people are going to blame her.

“That’s why this is still a very close race.”

In my lifetime, 5 sitting VPs have been the candidate for President.
Nixon in 1960. Hubert Humphrey, 1968. George HW Bush, 1988. Al Gore, 2000.

I was too young to remember Nixon's campaign, but all of the others ran on a continuation of the policies of the previous President. And all four of them were ELECTED by their party's primary system based on those policies. And all of them claimed..."LBJ and I..." or "Ronald Reagan and I..." or "Bill Clinton and I..." They proudly took credit for the accomplishments of THEIR administration

Harris is the first sitting VP running for President that:
1. Was not elected in a primary system
2. Is running AWAY from the policies of her own administration.
