If you are planning to take the Canadian Securities Corse (CSC®) or someone who wants to start their career in financial industry, in this video, I explain how I studied for the Canadian securities course and how I passed Canadian securities course in first attempt. I start with the reasoning why I took this course - which was that I wanted to learn about investing and basically how Canadian economy works and how interest rates affect the economy; After taking the course, I really have a better understanding of Canadian securities and their market in Canada.

Originally, my background is in engineering and I had no knowledge about Canadian financial industry, which has changed after taking this course. I also talk about the exam structure and exam day procedures of Canadian securities course exam and the test centre where I took the exam

Finally, I share my secret study technique that helped me pass Canadian securities course in my first attempt. I highly recommend that you take a look at that section, but in case you are running short on time, I will explain it here:

My study technique for Canadian securities course
- Allow 1-2 month of study per exam with 1-1.5 hr each day (I had no previous knowledge but I was able to manage with this timeline)
- watch videos first, then do the interactive exercises for each chapter;
- Leave 5 days before each exam to do intensive practice
INTENSIVE PRACTICE THAT HELPED ME ALOT
- Do mock exam 1 and note the score
- as you do mock exam note the questions that you are guessing and the ones you got wrong
- For each question, go to the section and read the section again. Learn from your mistakes
- do mock exam 1 again
repeat until you have 100% in mock exam 1
- Then do mock exam 2
- note your mistakes and guessed questions and read the corresponding sections

I did mock exam only once.

This technique is the only thing that helped me so much
