The new academic year has begun in a Hybrid format in Vidyananda School and Pratishthan Learning Center of Lotus Petal Foundation with 780+ students.
*Hybrid classes are a mix of online and classroom schooling where 50% of students come to school and attend classes with proper social distancing and the balance 50% join in the same classroom online. The students are provided with laptops/tablets with firewall safety and data cards for online classes.
*Note: We follow all Government guidelines for running the school in COVID-19 pandemic. Hybrid classes will be changed to 100% online as per current Government guidelines.

"Lotus Petal Foundation - a for purpose organization located in Gurgaon, working since 2011 in getting less privileged children into the formal job market based on its programs in the areas of education, healthcare and skill development.
Since inception we have directly benefited 11700 children people out of which 2900 were benefited in the year 2019 alone. Alumni from our programs are now placed in formal jobs in both domestic and multinational companies. Some students are in higher professional education like medical.
Delivering transformational outcomes for the beneficiary based on processes with scientific rigor, systems, organizational culture at low cost is our key strength. We have also leveraged this strength in being a catalyst for change in various government schools in Gurgaon which have experienced notable positive changes.
BSR Affiliates (KPMG) is our statutory auditor and our administrative costs are 7.5%. In 2018 we had the highest industry score of 91 on the Trust Index survey conducted by Great Places to Work.
In India some of our long-term partners are Fidelity, United Way, Concentrix, Cargill, Phillips. In the US we have part of employee payroll giving match program in Google, Cisco, Intel, Vmware, Apple, Synopsys.
In 2019, we engaged 632 number of people in 61 employee engagement events with our corporate partners.
The governance structure has a 7-member Governing Body with 3 Trustees one of whom is full time working voluntarily as Managing Trustee. There is a full time CTO handling the overall academics and daily operations.
Lotus Petal Charitable Foundation is registered under sections 80G and 12(A) of the Indian Income Tax Act and has permanent registration for FCRA. It is also tax exempted in US and UK.
Lotus Petal Foundation, Gurgaon focuses on 5 programs; Vidyananda School, Pratishthan Learning Center, Aarogya Wellness, Jeevika and Sahyog.
1. VidyanandaSchool :. Vidyananda School is a regular school program that runs classes at age appropriate levels from KG to Grade 12. Here we believe in nourishing the roots through a strong primary and basic education. The primarycurriculum is as prescribed by NCERT.
2. Pratisthan Learning Center :Pratishthan Learning Center is for those students who have fractured education, enables them to complete from Grade 6th to Grade 10th in 3 years, so that they can complete their 10th Grade in the right age.
3. AarogyaWellness :Aarogya Wellness is a healthcare program that provides free food & medical access to students. We have twice a week free OPD that takes care of primary/secondary healthcare and invasive surgeries. Over 6000 cases have been treated so far, including 2 heart surgeries.
4. Jeevika :Jeevika is the In-House Skill Development Program which provides skilling opportunities for wide base of educational levels. The courses involved in Jeevika are- Banking & Financial Services, Electronics & IT hardware industry, Healthcare Services, IT &ITes, Transportation and Logistics, Retail, Telecommunications and Tourism & Hospitality.
5. Sahyog :Sahyog is an outreach program that provides infrastructure development & academic support to government schools and other non- profit schools. So far one government school with 110 students has been benefited.
Lotus Petal Foundation is thankful to each of their volunteers, donors and sponsors for supporting our efforts by contributing through donations, charities and the community service for enhancing the education system of India and the social impact.
