Today I'm going to be talking about all things Mechanical Engineering. Hopefully by the end of this video you are able to understand a little bit more about what Mechanical Engineers do. If you know someone who you think could find a video like this useful, feel free to share it with them and help them out too!

Mechanical Engineers are very smart people, they learn a lot of different fields of physics from Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Kinematics and Dynamics they know a lot about many different branches of physics. Generally speaking they do lots of design work and you can work for a lot of cool companies.

1. Always take the job with a higher salary over the one offering stock option, RSU's, bonuses, and other "compensation". Salary is KING...you may not realize this until you start applying for a mortgage!
2. Change companies every 2-3 years to keep your salary competitive. Don't get comfortable or your salary will pay the price. This is coming from a mechanical engineer who worked at AMAT for 17 years and found after being promoted to a manager, I was making $117k in 2017 while my direct reports were making $150k. =(
The more you stick to the above, the more money you'll save while youre young which will have a longer time to compound over the years leading to a faster retirement. Good luck!

When I searched up for the accredited engineering programs in Canada, I found two categories in the field of Mechatronics:
i) *Mechatronics Engineering* offered by University of Waterloo, McMaster University and Ontario Tech University
ii) *Mechatronics Systems Engineering* offered by University of Western Ontario and Simon Fraser University
So, my question is that what is the difference between Mechatronics Engineering and Mechatronics Systems Engineering, and which one would you prefer?

After completing a degree in mechanical engineering, you have several paths to consider. You could pursue advanced degrees like a Master’s or PhD to specialize further or engage in research. Obtaining professional certifications, such as a Professional Engineer (PE) license, can enhance your credentials. Entering the workforce, you might work in industries like automotive or aerospace in roles such as design engineer or project manager. Specializing in areas like robotics or mechatronics can help differentiate you in the job market.

Additionally, pursuing further qualifications in fields like project management or starting your own business are viable options to leverage your engineering background and advance your career.

This is short to point and informative. I chose to be mechanical engineer since I was little girl and I got confused if I wanted to be. So I tried to know if I actually want. Now I am sure about that ❤

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly

Do you think it’s worth it doing chemical engineering, because the prospect of this is so small

Currently 21 years old. I want to pick up a trade certificate that will be relevant in building my own home one day, but I would also like a trade that leads/familiarizes me with mechanical engineering as I’d like that degree as well. Any recommendations ?

Do u guys think it’d be easier for a person to study engineering in their native language? I’m not studying engineering, but having to do public speaking and wrap my head around complex themes is hard for me, especially as a person that suffers from social anxiety. So, if I think of pursuing an engineering career in the future should I just transfer to a university that teaches it in my native langue? (I think that’s the way to go, since engineers have to work on projects and communicate effectively and use a lot of technical words.) Btw thanks Oliver for the videos. They’re really helpful and give me a better insight on the engineering industry.

Would u suggest to take mechatronics in undergrad
Or
Take mechanical in undergrad and then mechatronics in postgrad?

I graduated from two majors: automotive engineering technology and business administration in my country of birth. But currently living abroad and planning to study a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Can you give me some advice when applying for a job after graduating with a master's degree? Is it difficult because I am currently 25 years old? Forward thinking needs to be learned from everyone.
