Against non-tank, you may also build Everfrost for Everfrost>auto>auto>ult combo for more w damage and ult's accurancy.

I tried the same ap build with rageblade cuz i was fed and had fun…this champ once get fed is ridiculous insane, i think i would be afraid more of a fed varus than any other adc I swear

2 key facts which are missing in this video is, the longer you cannel your W, the more damage you deal with the applied W stacks. NOT only the Q damage itself. Also your fully channeled Q has the same duration as the ultimate takes to apply 3 W stacks. The guy in this video never used it. But that's how you basically one shot anyone with 3 items by using ult, W active + fully charged Q

AP Varus is easily one of my favorite builds. Had a sion on the enemy team that was just a menace in team fights if I wasn’t there because no one had the damage to hurt him. Queue me walking into lane with a R, wait for 3 blights then, Q and he’s instantly dead at 80% HP. Entire team spam question mark pings me and it was hilarious.

Survivability on ap varus when itemizing is optimal but theres an unmatched feeling for when you go full damage and delete a tank's hp.

Level 2-3 gank is mandatory. Repeat before 6 then the lane is over. Volibear does surprisingly well into the matchup

been playing ap varus mid and top for the past week and my main issue with it is while it's very strong and you can get ahead and bully very hard, people flashing or you missing any of your abilities punishes you VERY hard, lots of enemies will just flash your wq or if you're playing up against certain champs like gwen xin elise etc it's very hard to do anything vs those champs until they lose their safety tools. Playing vs ezreal has been extremely annoying as he is super good into varus. Varus can easily 1v2 even early but the hard part about him is being able to actually carry the game out, this is something i struggled with harder as ap even when I was extremely fed compared to the old onhit build for 13.10 and crit build. The build is super safe once you get core though which feels nice but carrying is much harder and precise.

There is also a mid-varus playstyle but more on scaling since you go manamune then same items as above, but you go first strike as a rune so you can 1 shot tanks even faster with the build
