OFID has been partnering with UNESCO to fund education in some of the world's most vulnerable regions since 1985.
This video highlights three OFID/UNESCO initiatives: One is installing solar power systems in 75 rural schools in Benin, Madagascar, Mauritania, Niger and Togo. Another is improving the quality of education in 70 schools in the West Bank and Gaza Strip by promoting inclusive child-friendly and creative methods of teaching and learning. The third is carrying out a school-based HIV/AIDS education initiative in 17 countries throughout East and Southern Africa.
