Boris Johson speaks after the UK has reached an agreement with the EU on a post-Brexit trade deal, No10 and Brussels have confirmed.

Negotiators from the UK and European Union had been locked in intense talks over the terms of the agreement between the bloc and a newly independent Great Britain.

The deal brings to an end four years of bitter wrangling with Europe that saw off two Prime Ministers.

Mr Johnson had hailed his "oven ready" deal months ago, but a final agreement has taken longer to get onto the table ahead of the transition period coming to an end on 31 December with 'significant gaps' on several key issues.

There are no down sides ?
The EU have agreed to allow its members full access to European markets by paying Euro taxes, but the UK will get free untariffed access to EU markets, but without paying EU taxes ?
The EU have agreed that their own citizens must follow EU rules and guidelines to sell in the EU, but the UK are exempt ?
The EU have agreed to allow full market access to a non member, regardless of their own national interests.
If everything that Boris has claimed is true, the deal will NEVER get ratified by the EU Parliament. National leaders tend not to agree to deals that screws their own citizens over.

Well sounds like the UK got all it wanted! Total sovereignty then and French fisher men will have to pay for licences. What we must now do is keep an eye on Northern Ireland and make sure it does not converge with the EU (if it survives) but converges with the rest of the UK.
