Something else worth noting is the fact that the creator himself said the weird black liquid coming out of the eyes from the wolf’s victims is called the “cry of the soul”

my guess for the style change is because this is actually a real game in-universe, and Gretel is playing it, hence the wolf's soul speaking to her directly

The fairy tale “hancel and grettle” is an old fairy tale where 2 children get tricked with food into going into the woods and into the house of a witch. If I remember correctly the VERY original story ends with them burning the witch in a furnace and eating her as they were starving children and were brought there by the promise of food. But the story was changed as telling a story about essentially cannibalism isn’t the best thing to tell a child before bed lol

I like this series a lot actually. I like the idea of “what if the wolf in each fairytale was the same wolf and also and analog horror monster?” It’s got a cool way of threading together different stories into one.

Not sure if its this story but "the juniper tree" by the brothers grimm is about a stepmom killing her stepson, and he seeks revenge through a magical bird. Never read it this is all from a quick google search but from the quick search i realize how different of a time it was back then if that was sutible premise for a fairytale

Oh I love the original Three Little Pigs story. Of course there's different interpretations, but the originals are always much darker depending what culture it comes from. For me, when the wolf finally gets to the brick house and doesn't succeed in getting inside, he climbs into the chimney and tries to get in the house. The pig boils water under the wolf as he climbs down the chimney and then ends up falling in and gets cooked alive. Correct me if I'm wrong but I've also heard that the mother comes over and asks the pig what he's making

When are you going to do another Woodlands National Park vid? Buddy Films already uploaded another video which came out in 8 Months ago and the video is the warp up to the season 1 and gives a ton of information about the Dyier Corp (Which is the company of the Woodlands National Park), Season 2 has tons of teasers in the Buddy Films Shorts like, The Bird that Manipulates and the Tree that can bleed and a Deer that can walk (I might be wrong from that one)!

This is from memory so some details may not be right.
The kid is from Hansel and Gretel. It's a story about two siblings getting lost in a forest and finding a gingerbread house owned by a witch. They then ate parts of the house, and the witch was mad, but she decided to hide it and asked them to do chores around her home, like cleaning her oven. The witch also fed them candy to fatten them to eat them and then tried to trap them in the oven. There are two different endings I heard. First, one was they were able to get out of the oven and run back home, and the other ending for the story...well they weren't so lucky in that one.

On one hand I really like this creator’s ability to animate movement in a creepy way, mostly Joe the wolf moves, how the shaky camera moves… and let me be clear, this does seem like a new if not younger creator, but that said you can tell they’re still riding the excitement of being able to do what their influences do. The backwards speech, the flashing text… they don’t really provide much for the video.
I dunno I think Hansel’s video was the best one and it’s the video that most seemed to have its own identity.
In this one they even seem to outright mimic Return of the Pumpkin Rabbit and it’s fun to do homages, and I appreciate his open the creator is with being inspired by Martin Walls, but recreating that scene felt like a little much.

More positives though: GRETEL!! YES! I knew that had to be the connection!
I’m glad she’s gonna get her own story in this universe now. I have high hopes for what the house of sweets is gonna be like and what the witch’s motive will be. I’m wondering what the wolf meant by revenge or if we’ll ever know. I do like the connection a lot.

But I do think the creator has a lot of enthusiasm for the craft and I hope they keep at it. I had problems, but it is genuinely cool seeing them try new stuff each time.

Though one final point: the clipper of the Disney pigs was… jarring. If possible they should avoid that?

I think the boy who cried wolf could be the soul in the wolf. As when he actually cried wolf, many didn’t believe him because he was lying the other times. Maybe he got killed because of that and that’s why he wants revenge because no one helped him
